Welcome to my home page. If you want to know the latest things I’ve been doing, read the weblog :) This page used to be a mixture of work and personal information, which I’ve separated by means of the official index page, which looks more professional to possible employers, and this more warm and fuzzy-looking home page.
I’m a resident of Melbourne, Australia, having been born here in 1972 and spent the greater part of my life here. I grew up in the outer eastern suburb of Brandon Park. When I was aged 13 my father retired and my family moved across to Tasmania, in particular Beaconsfield and Exeter in the north of the state, where I completed my school years. I then attended the University of Tasmania at Hobart where I took a Bachelor of Science. I was interested in Physics and Maths and began taking my Honours degree in theoretical physics, however confronted with a number of problems I chose to withdraw.
I then returned to live in Melbourne in 1994, and from 1996 onwards I’ve been doing I.T. and other computer related work at various universities in Melbourne. As I had done computer science as part of my Bachelor’s degree it seemed opportune to get a job in the burgeoning information technology industry.
These links below include things I tend to be interested in, or music or photos, so please follow a link if you too are interested:

N.B. My e-mail address is slightly amended to frustrate spammers – and should be obvious to fix. (If I get any more spam I'll have to use other tricks. Stay tuned.)
