I’m totally Mac, having just upgraded to a very nice Titanium PowerBook G4 for my work computer, which works like a dream. (Well, it had to go back when I left Deakin; I still have a green iMac and a green iBook, and hopefully I’ll get something nice in my next job :-) The Mac OS is the most pleasurable computer OS I have used, and in it’s latest incarnation as OS X, it is extremely bullet-proof, and more than adequate for 99% of the tasks I usually try to accomplish with computers. (The other 1% doesn’t really bear thinking about...)
To boot, the current crop of Apple hardware is faster, more reliable and better designed and integrated than anything currently circulating in the PC market space (although this wasn’t true a few years ago). Admittedly you will always be able to get cheaper PCs than Macs (although there are often second-hand bargains to be had) but unless you take the trouble to run a non-Microsoft OS you’re going to have to waste a lot of time mucking around with Windoze... quelle horreur.

Go2Mac : This site has subsumed O’Grady’s PowerPage (PowerBook info) and his other related sites - Palm Lounge (Palm-type PDA’s) and No Beige (non-beige coloured computers). It has gone very commercial of late, but is still worth a visit for the best information regarding Apple’s portable lines, and PDA’s such as the Palm and Handspring Visor. Currently it's under major renovation whilst the new html for the site gets hacked into shape.
